Quick Start Guide: How to Create Your Lettie Account

This guide takes you from sign-up to the correct Lettie workspace. The most important choice is whether you own the properties or manage them for other owners, because the rest of the setup is different.

1. Create your account

Open Lettie and choose to sign up. The page is headed Create your account.

You can use either method:

  • Enter your work email under Email, then select Continue with email.
  • Select Continue with Google and complete Google's sign-in steps.

If you continue by email, Lettie shows Check your email and sends a secure sign-in link. Open the newest message from Lettie and follow the link. Check your spam or junk folder if it has not arrived. The link signs you in without a password.

2. Set up your portfolio

The first onboarding page is Set up your portfolio. Under How do you manage properties?, choose the option that describes your work.

Direct landlord: I own the properties

Choose I own the properties if the homes belong to you. Tell Lettie roughly how many properties you manage, where you operate, what you mainly want help with and how you heard about Lettie, then select Continue.

For up to 24 properties, this is a self-service journey. The first four active properties are free and each additional active property up to 24 is £2.50 per month. You are not asked to pay simply to finish creating the account. Billing begins later only if you activate a fifth or subsequent property.

If your portfolio is above the self-service limit, Lettie collects the details needed for the team to help with an organisation-style agreement.

Agency or property manager: I manage for other owners

Choose I manage for other owners if you work for an agency or property management organisation. Enter the requested portfolio and company information, then select Continue.

A brand-new organisation follows a team-assisted setup rather than the direct landlord checkout. On the final step, use Send details so the Lettie team can arrange the workspace, limits and agreement.

If an Owner has already invited you to an organisation, Lettie recognises the invitation. Complete your own onboarding details; you do not create a second organisation or choose its plan.

3. Choose contact and alert settings

On Contact and alerts, enter your name and contact details. Choose one option for urgent property alerts:

  • Alerts by email
  • Alerts by email and WhatsApp
  • Alerts by WhatsApp

This preference controls urgent property alerts. Account, setup and billing emails still go to your inbox.

If you choose an option that uses WhatsApp, enter your mobile number, select Send verification code, enter the code you receive and select Verify code. Lettie must verify the number before continuing. An invited organisation member who chooses email-only alerts can continue without enabling WhatsApp alerts.

Check the details, then select Continue.

4. Finish the account

The last page is Finish your account. Read and accept the required terms. Marketing updates are optional and can be changed later in your Profile.

What happens next depends on the journey:

Direct landlord

Select Add first property. Lettie opens the Add property journey so you can create the first record. Property setup, document checks and any later activation happen there; they are not silently completed during account creation.

Invited organisation member

Select Enter workspace. You arrive at Home in the organisation you were invited to. Your role and branch assignments decide what you can see and change.

New agency or large portfolio

Select Send details. This sends the setup request; it does not instantly create a fully provisioned organisation. The Lettie team will arrange the next step with you.

Your first jobs

Direct landlords can continue with Creating a property. Organisation Owners and Admins should review team roles and branches before a large import. Everyone can use Finding your way around Lettie to learn the main pages.
