Finding Your Way Around Lettie
Lettie's main navigation sits at the side of the page on a larger screen. On a smaller screen, open the menu to reach the same areas; Profile also appears in the mobile navigation.
Main pages
- Home summarises urgent work and current activity.
- Properties lists the homes available to you and opens each full property record.
- Reports holds maintenance reports and their progress.
- Compliance holds property documents and due dates.
- Analytics shows portfolio activity and trends.
Select your name or profile control at the bottom of the navigation to open Profile or Sign out. Profile contains personal details, urgent alert preferences and plan information. Direct landlords can also open property pricing from there; only an organisation Owner can open organisation billing.
Direct landlord navigation
A direct landlord has access to their own portfolio and does not see an Organisation area. Use Properties for addresses, tenants and documents, and use Profile for portfolio-wide knowledge, alert preferences and billing.
Organisation navigation and roles
An organisation Owner or Admin sees Organisation, with these pages:
- People — members, invites and roles;
- Settings — maintenance, approvals and alerts;
- Contractors — people and firms you send jobs to;
- Branches — offices and their properties;
- Branding — the tenant portal, QR code, links and appearance; and
- Integrations — connected platforms and API keys.
Owners and Admins manage organisation-wide setup. Members and Viewers do not see the Organisation area. Members can carry out property work within the scope they have been given; Viewers can read available records but cannot add, import, edit or archive properties.
Branch membership also affects what a Member or Viewer can find. An Owner or Admin can work across branches, while a restricted colleague sees only properties in their assigned branches. Read Managing your branches before assigning a team.
Search from anywhere
Select Search in the navigation, or press Command+K on a Mac or Control+K on Windows. The search field says Search properties, tenants, reports....
You can find:
- pages by name;
- properties by name, address or postcode;
- tenants by name or phone number; and
- reports by report number, description, property or status.
Use the arrow keys to move through results and Enter to open one. Press Escape to close search. Results still follow your role and property access; search does not grant access to a restricted page.
Badges and saved views
A badge beside a page is a prompt to look, not a new type of record. For example:
- Properties can highlight homes where tenant or occupancy information is needed;
- Reports can count reports referred for your attention; and
- Compliance can highlight expired, expiring or missing records.
Properties and Reports include built-in views and any views you save yourself. A view changes the filter and sorting; it does not change or move the underlying records.
Other navigation controls
Use the sidebar control to collapse or expand it when you need more space. The light and dark mode control changes only the appearance. Notifications opens recent updates, while Guides brings you back to this help centre.
