Welcome to Lettie

Lettie brings the day-to-day information for your properties into one place. You can keep property and tenancy details together, manage maintenance reports, follow compliance dates and give tenants a clear way to ask for help.

Lettie can guide a tenant through initial troubleshooting before a report reaches you. It does not hide the history: reports, notes, documents and updates remain available in the relevant property record.

Choose the right type of workspace

The setup and permissions are different for a landlord managing their own homes and a team managing homes for other owners.

If you own the properties

Choose I own the properties when you manage your own portfolio. You have control of every property in your account and Lettie takes you through adding and setting up your first one.

Your first four active properties are free. Properties 5 to 24 cost £2.50 each per month when you choose to activate them. Saving a property record does not by itself start a charge. Larger portfolios are arranged with the Lettie team. See Plans, billing and property activation for the full explanation.

Direct landlord accounts also include a Setup Centre on Home. It suggests the next useful job, such as finishing a property, adding a tenant or uploading a document.

If you manage properties for other owners

Choose I manage for other owners for an agency or property management organisation. New organisations are set up with the Lettie team; invited colleagues can complete their personal details and enter the existing workspace.

An organisation can separate properties by branch and assign different roles to its people. Owners and Admins manage organisation settings. Members work with the properties available to them, while Viewers have read-only access. A separate landlord contact can be recorded against each property without making that person a Lettie team member.

Organisation pricing, property limits, seats and tenant limits follow the organisation's agreement rather than the direct landlord price above.

What you can do in Lettie

  • Home brings urgent work and current maintenance conversations together.
  • Properties holds the address, profile, tenants, tenancy, notes, property knowledge, reports and documents for each home.
  • Reports records maintenance issues from first report to resolution.
  • Compliance tracks documents and highlights records that are missing, expiring soon or expired.
  • Analytics helps you understand activity across the portfolio.
  • Organisation gives Owners and Admins access to people, roles, branches, contractors, branding, settings and integrations.

The pages you can see depend on your workspace and role. Finding your way around Lettie explains the navigation and permissions.

Tenant contact and access

A tenant is not sent a welcome simply because you save their details. The tenant form includes Authorise Lettie to welcome this tenant on WhatsApp. Review that permission for each person. When it is selected, Lettie asks you to confirm before sending one welcome WhatsApp; when it is not selected, the tenant is saved without a message.

Portal access is separate from that welcome. It depends on an active tenant, an active property and the mobile number saved on the tenant record. Organisations must also enable their shared tenant portal. Read Managing tenants and portal access before inviting residents.

A good place to start

  1. Add accurate tenants and review welcome permission for each person.
  2. Add the records and property knowledge Lettie will need.
  3. Use Home to pick up the next important job.
