Using the Home Dashboard
Home is the starting point for work that may need a decision. It summarises important activity and links back to the full property, report or compliance record.
Needs your attention
The Needs your attention card prioritises items such as:
- new or referred maintenance reports;
- expired, expiring or missing compliance records; and
- properties whose occupancy or tenant details still need confirming.
Select an item to open the record and deal with it. When the card says No alerts need your attention right now, there are no items in the attention groups currently shown; it does not mean that every task across the portfolio is complete.
Handled by Lettie
The Handled by Lettie card separates current tenant troubleshooting from issues Lettie has marked as solved. Open or expand an entry to see its context, and use the Reports page when you need the complete maintenance history.
A solved item should still be reviewed if its details affect a repair, document or future inspection. The card is a summary, not a replacement for your property records.
Direct landlord Home
A landlord managing their own portfolio sees a Setup Centre as well as the activity cards. It normally presents the next unfinished action, such as:
- adding or finishing a property;
- activating a saved property or completing billing;
- adding tenant details;
- uploading compliance records;
- completing Profile or portfolio knowledge; or
- taking the Lettie tour.
Use Show only next step for one recommendation or View all setup steps to see the remaining list. Remind me next week hides the prompt for a week; it does not complete or delete the underlying task. Once all useful setup steps are complete, the Setup Centre is no longer shown.
If Home cannot load a total safely, Lettie tells you that the figures may be incomplete and offers Try again. Avoid treating a partial total as a confirmed empty portfolio.
Organisation Home
People in an organisation can switch between All and Assigned to me.
- All shows attention items across the properties available to your role and branch access, including compliance items.
- Assigned to me narrows maintenance work to reports assigned to you.
The organisation view does not include the direct landlord Setup Centre. Organisation setup, billing limits and shared settings are managed separately by the appropriate Owners or Admins.
A Viewer can open the records their access allows but cannot use an attention card to bypass read-only permissions. Members, Admins and Owners can act within their property scope.
Keep the dashboard useful
Accurate occupancy, tenants, due dates and report statuses make Home more useful. If a card points to missing information, update the source record rather than trying to dismiss the symptom. Start with Managing your properties and Managing tenants and portal access.
