Street Integration

The Street integration allows for a seamless, automated flow of property and maintenance data between Lettie and your Street system.

Step 1: Create an API Key in Street

To connect Lettie, you must first generate an Open API Token within your Street account. You must be a Company Admin in Street to perform this action.

Access Settings: In your Street account, navigate to Settings (on the left side panel, near the bottom).

Go to Account Administration: Select Account Administration from the settings menu.

Find Applications: Click on Applications (API Tokens).

Create New Application: Scroll down to the 'create new application' section.

Enter Details
  • Application Name: Enter a name that is easily identifiable (e.g., "Lettie Integration").
  • API Token Scope: In the drop-down menu, select the 'open API' token.
  • Contact Name/Email: Enter the contact details of the person managing the integration.

Generate Token: Click the 'create application' button. An API access token (a long string of code) will appear.

Copy the Token: Click the 'click to copy' button.

Important: You must copy the API token now, as it will not display again once you navigate away from the page.

Step 2: Connect Lettie to Street

Once you have the API key, you can connect the two systems within Lettie.

In your Lettie account, navigate to the Integrations page.

  1. Find the Street integration and click the Connect button.
  2. Input the API Key: Paste the API access token you copied from Street.
  3. Select Environment: Choose whether you are connecting to your Live or Demo Street environment. Note: For almost all daily agency operations, this will be Live.
  4. Confirm the connection.
What Happens After Connection?

Once connected, the status will update on your Lettie Integrations page. You will see two options for data synchronisation:

Daily Sync (Toggle Option)

You will see a toggle switch to activate the Daily Sync.

If activated, an automatic data sync between Lettie and Street happens every day at 10:00 AM UK time. This timing is set to ensure that tenant onboarding messages are sent at a convenient and appropriate time.

Manual Sync

Below the toggle, you will find a 'Sync Now' button, allowing you to trigger a manual sync at any time.

Maintenance Request Creation

When a maintenance issue is escalated to the landlord (meaning it requires action beyond tenant self-help), it will automatically create a maintenance request in Street with all the relevant information and notes that Lettie has gathered.

This request is automatically linked to the correct tenant and property details within your Street system.
